i freaking love my old tech. a long while ago i bought a Sidekick 3 off ebay for probably more than i could afford at the time. but now i wouldn't care if it was like 10x more expensive. it was the best purchase ever made, in the history of like ever. having a phone that cool people had in the 00s is already cool enough, but it's even better with how cool the phone is on its own.

the Sidekick has a screen that swivels around to show a keyboard. and you hold it landscape like a controller even though you hold it like a normal phone while calling. the button pad has a scrollball in it, and the phone gives little ticks of vibration when it rolls to make it feel like its mechanical.

the sound effects that the phone uses are like the best. they're so… like fruitiger-aero-esque. so is the default BG wallpaper. like all the graphics are like ocean themed, and it just feels so nostalgic.

not to mention the camera. it's like a 1.3 mega pixels one, and it shoots with crunchy colors, but it's sooo cool. like the photos are so good thst they actually make you look like they just come from the 00s. the illusion is only broken when the photo has something that is obviously new. but even then it just looks like it's from the early 10s.
